Brief about the Organisation:

Pemba Tree Conservation Organisation (PETCO) is a non-governmental organisation that was established on 30th of March, 2021 under the Zanzibar Societies Act No. 6 of 1995, which is legally working through registration number Z0000104648. The PETCO is about to maintain environmental and human well-being by effectively conserving Pemba Island's natural and artificial vegetation and water resources. To meet the desired mission, training and education, volunteering and mobilisation, capacity building and running conservation activities, including community-based projects, are emphasised to attain the conservation of forest resources, water bodies, and the environment in general.
